Job Overview
Responsibilities and Duties:
● Operational Coordination: Facilitate clear and accurate communication between site engineers and the central office.
● Service Delivery: Assist with the scheduling and booking of engineering jobs, ensuring tasks are completed within agreed timeframes and contract terms.
● Inquiry Management: Handle incoming calls and emails professionally, recording information accurately and supporting both clients and engineers.
● Administrative Support: Process operative paperwork, maintain organised digital filing systems for client certificates, and perform routine office tasks.
● Issue Resolution: Monitor workflows and proactively escalate any concerns or operational issues to the Line Manager.
Candidate Profile:
- Attitude: A proactive “can-do” approach with a polite, professional, and amiable demeanour.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to interact with colleagues and customers at all levels.
- Organisation: Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritise work effectively.
- Resilience: Ability to remain calm and focused when working under pressure or meeting deadlines.
- Reliability: A strong sense of punctuality, time management, and professional responsibility.
Qualifications & Skills:
● Education: GCSEs in English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent preferred.
● IT Literacy: Basic computer skills, including a foundational understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
● Numeracy: Good mathematical skills for performing calculations and data entry.
Experience:
No previous office experience is required. We are looking for candidates who are eager to learn, work well in a team, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
