What you will learn
Entry Levels 1-3
- Work with numbers in real-life tasks
- Use time, money, weight, and length confidently Read simple tables, charts, and timetables
- Build everyday problem-solving skills
Levels 1 & 2
- Carry out multi-step calculations accurately
- Use data from charts, graphs, and tables
- Understand percentages, ratios, and formulas
- Apply reasoning to solve real-world problems

How it works
- Both online and classroom-based learning options are available
- Just 2 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 12 weeks

- After the course and successful passing of the exam, you will receive a certificate
Eligibility Criteria
- Please Read Before You Submit To qualify for fully funded Functional Skills in maths, you must:
- Be aged 19 or over on 31 August within the funding year
- Be employed/self-employed with a gross annual salary less than £33,210
OR
Be unemployed and meet one of the following:
• Receiving Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
• Receiving Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
• Receiving Universal Credit, with take-home pay below:
– £952/month (sole benefit)
– £1,534/month (joint benefit)
• Released on temporary license and studying outside prison - Have an eligible UK residency status, or meet exceptions from the 3-year rule (see options above)
- If on a visa, you must have enough time left to complete the course or be eligible to renew
📌 Note: Prior learning does not reduce funding for maths up to Level 2
