What to expect from a traineeship:
- Traineeships include a work placement
- Traineeships are typically a 10 days work-ready online programme and typically 10 days work placement. This can be tailored to suit the demands of your business
- An Induction and Individual Training Plan
- Work Preparation Training (approximately 2 weeks)
- Some occupational training where appropriate
- Undertake regular progress reviews and provide learner support
- English, maths and Essential Digital Skills if required will be delivered throughout the programme and can be completed if the trainee progresses onto an apprenticeship with you
Expectations Of The Employer:
- Provide a high-quality work placement
- You will have one or more planned job vacancies (at least 16 hours per week) or apprenticeships, that could be filled by a trainee after the programme
- To provide PPE, workplace induction, a work-based training plan, on-job training and support for the trainee
- To guarantee a job interview and provide written feedback for the trainee at the end of the placement
Eligibility:
- Aged between 19-24
- Committed to gaining work but not currently in employment
- Qualified up to and including Level 3
- Should be capable of entering an apprenticeship or other employment within the six months of completing the traineeship
