POSITION:

Trainee Production Manager

REPORTING TO:

LOCATION:

Middlesborough, Cleveland

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Duties:

  • Produce a written time line and project plan.
  • Managing the production line, organising staff, and making sure targets are met.
  • Liaise with Workshop staff, contractors and client regarding project and overcome any issues/concerns
  • Order materials in conjunction with procurement
  • Carry out Site surveys
  • Attend deliveries and site works to oversee and assist when necessary
  • Organise haulage, cranage and other associated delivery and installation work
  • Produce method statements, risk assessments and other health and safety information.
  • Produce information packs for clients at project handover
  • Manage the day to day running of the project
  • Production planning and make sure the manufacturing process is running smoothly

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills Required

Candidate Attributes & skills

  • Demonstrate they are capable of being flexible, adaptable, good communicators and team players.
  • Full driving license and able and willing to travel to all parts of the UK as part of the role.
  • Computer literate with excel, word and outlook
  • Good organisational skills with an enthusiastic, proactive, and flexible approach
  • Extremely adaptable learning new processes and software quickly

Minimum Qualifications

  • Good maths and English
  • Computer literate with excel, word and outlook

Desirable abilities and experience

  • Produce 2D AutoCAD drawings and needs to have the ability to read drawings.
  • To have worked in the construction, electrical, plumbing or haulage industry

About The Role:

About the Role

  • 40 hours flexible split between small office approx. 50% workshop 25% and site work 25%
  • Salary £22,000 – £25,000 depending on skills/experience
  • Hotel and travel allowances
  • Monday to Friday 8am till 4.30pm (1/2 hour lunch unpaid plus 2 x 15 minutes breaks paid)
  • Car essential for this role

Recommended Training Programme

Management Level 3 to include some BIT and CI delivery by Billy, or BIT L3 depending on prior attainment
