Contract Logistics Operator Apprentice

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to the following:
- Liaising with customers to resolve queries swiftly and with clarity
- Scheduling, booking and processing inbound deliveries
- Organising and processing outbound deliveries
- Booking deliveries and/or returns with hauliers and confirming volumes expected
- Chasing up inbound/delivery failures and PODs with suppliers
- Collating all contract related paperwork and delivery POD data confirming delivery compliance has been adhered to
- Processing system activities for adjustments, transfers or outbound orders
- Supporting with additional requests from the customer as required
- Collating and inputting data from various sources which help to build key reports and KPI’s for reporting to senior management
- Ensuring accurate data is processed within internal systems in line with set KPI targets
- Ensuring all daily reporting tools are rigorously maintained so that correct information is presented to the customer
- Providing a contact point for customer queries or specialist requests
- Supporting warehouse activity in making sure physical and systemic data is 100% correct
- To be cost aware and always looking to remove expense where possible
- To maintain vigilance regarding procedural compliance
Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills Required
Skills/Competencies
- Experience in dealing with different types of people – gained through either academic or work experience
- Strong IT skills and in particular Microsoft Excel

Qualifications/Education
- 5 x GCSE’s or equivalent including Maths and English, Grade A – C

About The Role:
As an Apprentice, you are given the opportunity to earn while you learn gaining experience in logistics. Your role will include on the job training, education (through formal work based learning), as well as the opportunity to demonstrate independent work skills, team working and progression.
The role is Monday to Friday, working 37.5 hours from 9am until 5.30pm with one hour unpaid meal break. There is very limited public transport, therefore we recommend you have access to car or able to get a lift.
