B-Skill are delighted to be working with Empire Group who are looking to recruit a Customer Service Apprentice in Rochdale.

As a Customer Service Apprentice, you will play a vital role in supporting their clients and ensuring an exceptional service experience. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information about their services. We’re looking for someone with a passion for helping people and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction.

In this role, you will develop key customer service skills and gain hands-on experience working in a dynamic, professional environment. You’ll collaborate with their experienced customer support team to learn the ins and outs of client relations, contribute to process improvements, and help them enhance their service quality. Full apprenticeship and role training will be provided for this exciting position, working with such a supportive team you will work towards a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship qualification.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities to be undertaken may include any or all the items in the following list.

  • Deliver exceptional telephone support, guiding customers through a variety of queries
  • Maintain clear and timely updates for customers in line with service level agreements, ensuring their needs are met with efficiency and professionalism.
  • Verify all information required for each service request; if information is missing, proactively contact customers to gather the necessary details.
  • Utilise sound judgment and initiative to handle requests effectively, adhering to established protocols.
  • Facilitate interpreting calls, seamlessly connecting interpreters with professionals using our online telephone platform.
  • Accurately log and update customer information promptly, ensuring records are always current and precise.
  • Engage with customers and colleagues via email, telephone, and instant messaging to ensure smooth and consistent communication.
  • Follow internal standards for service quality, including adherence to performance metrics, telephone etiquette, written communication standards, and response times.
  • Encourage and gather customer feedback, actively working to identify solutions and areas for service improvement.
  • Uphold key performance indicators, service level agreements, and quality standards to meet customer and interpreter expectations.
  • Build and maintain positive, productive relationships with customers, interpreters, and colleagues.

Requirements of the Role

  • GCSEs or Equivalent in English and Maths (Grade 4 or above)
  • Ability to reliably commute to our office in Rochdale
