Overview

This Apprenticeship Framework can train you for your first role in the IT & Telecoms sector or give you the opportunity to progress/re-skill if you’re already an IT Professional. You will learn the appropriate set of skills to operate in IT & Telecoms job roles, balancing technical, business and interpersonal areas. 

Qualification

Level 3 or Level 4 in IT, Software, Web & Telecoms Professional

Infrasture Technician Level 3

Overview

This standard will teach you to how to provide support to internal and external customers. You will help them to be productive when using technology to do their own jobs, by using tools to problem solve and trouble shoot non routine problems. As an Infrastructure Technician, you will sets people up on systems and provides support when they need it to rectify issues to maintain the organisations productivity.

Qualification

Level 3 Infrastructure Technician

You will also achieve SFIA Level 3 Professional Competence, which can be recognised by applying to join the register of IT Technicians

Entry Requirements

You will typically work as part of a larger team, sharing elements of responsibility for the overall project that will include building and testing simple, high-quality code across front end, logic and database layers.

You will develop and apply practical knowledge of information security to deliver solutions that fulfil an organisation’s requirements.

Cyber Intrusion Analyst Level 4

Overview

This standard will teach you how to detect breaches in network security for escalation to incident response or other determined function. As an Intrusion Analyst, you will typically use a range of automated tools to monitor networks in real time, and understand and interpret the alerts that are automatically generated by those tools, including integrating and correlating information from a variety of sources and in different forms and where necessary seek additional information to inform the Analyst’s judgement on whether or not the alert represents a security breach. When you have decided that a security breach has been detected, you will escalate to an incident response team, or other determined action, providing both notification of the breach and evidence with reasoning that supports the judgement that a breach has occurred. As an Analyst, will typically work as part of a team (or may lead a team) and will interact with external stakeholders, including customers and third party sources of threat and vulnerability intelligence and advice.

This standard will teach you to collect, organise and study data to provide business insight. As a Data Analyst, you will be typically involved with managing, cleansing, abstracting and aggregating data, and conducting a range of analytical studies on that data. You will work across a variety of projects, providing technical data solutions to a range of stakeholders/customers issues. Your role will include documenting and reporting the results of data analysis activities and making recommendations to improve business performance. You will gain a good understanding of data structures, database systems and procedures and the range of analytical tools used to undertake a range of different types of analyses
