This standard will teach you the skills to provide support to internal and external customers, working predominantly as an Assistant Account or within the finance function of an organisation. Your role will involve assisting in the day to day financial activities such as data entry to month end management accounts and/or year-end financial statements. In addition, you may find yourself being involved in regulatory financial requirements such as the completion of VAT returns or assisting in the preparation of tax computations.
Level 3 Accountant Assistant

You will be qualified as an Assistant Accountant, with the opportunity to progress into a number of career paths in the Accounting sector including Audit Trainee, Corporate Recovery Analyst, Credit Controller or Tax Accountant.
Professional Accounting / Taxation Technician Level 4

This standard provides the training to progress further in a financial role. You will have the responsibility for creating and/or verifying and reviewing accurate and timely financial information in an organisation. You will utilise your knowledge of the business systems and processes, as well as standard accounting and tax practices. You could be working in an accounting practice, a professional services company, HMRC or the accounting function of a business or other organisation.
Level 4 Professional Accounting/Taxation Technician
Level 2 Functional Skills – English, Maths and ICT
Upon successful completion, you will be eligible for student registration with a number of UK Professional Bodies in this sector. Completion of the Professional Accounting/Tax Technician Apprenticeship may lead to receiving credits towards the completion of the Professional Accountant/Tax Apprenticeship or Chartered Accountancy/Taxation qualifications provided by the relevant Professional Bodies. You may also be awarded credits towards relevant undergraduate degree programmes.
