Apprenticeship Overview
This is a work based learning programme aimed at professional strategic leaders who lead, manage and direct organisations.
In order to meet the requirements for this programme you must have senior management responsibility. This can include formal governance/director responsibilities. You must be responsible for direction and vision, providing a clear sense of purpose and driving strategic intent. You will take into account market trends and environmental influences, identify long term opportunities and risks and through inclusive leadership you will be responsible for developing ethical, innovative and supportive cultures with the ability to deliver results.
Apprentices will be required to have or achieve level 2 English and maths, prior to taking their end point assessment.
DEVELOPING CORE KNOWLEDGE:
- Knows how to shape organisational vision, culture & values. Understands business modelling; diversity; global perspectives; governance & accountability; external environment; technological and policy implications
- Understands innovation; the impact of disruptive technologies; drivers of change and new ways of working across infrastructure, processes, people and sustainability
- Understands ethics and values based leadership; regulatory environments, legal, H&S, wellbeing and compliance requirements; corporate social responsibility; risk management; environmental impact; cyber security
- Understands competitive strategies and entrepreneurialism and the use of data and insight to implement and manage change
- Understands financial strategies; application of economic theory; financial governance

Progression Routes From This Apprenticeship
- Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), and receive a Chartered Manager status
