Overview

This standard will teach you the skills to understand network configuration, cloud, network administration and monitoring tools. You will be able to give technical advice and guidance, with your primary role be learning how to design, install, maintain and support communication networks.

Qualification

Level 4 Certificate in Network Engineer

You will also achieve SFIA Level 3 Professional Competence, which can be recognised by applying to join the register of IT Technicians

Entry Requirements

5 GCSEs including Maths (Grade A) and English

Good Mathematical aptitude

Strong digital enthusiasm

Progression

You will be qualified to progress into roles such as a Network Technical, Network Engineer, System Engineer and Network Administrator.

Software Developer Level 4

Overview

This standard will teach you to develop and support an application from inception to release. You will typically work as part of a larger team, sharing elements of responsibility for the overall project that will include building and testing simple, high-quality code across front end, logic and database layers.

Qualification

Level 4 Certificate in Software Developer

You will also achieve SFIA Level 3 Professional Competence, which can be recognised by applying to join the register of IT Technicians

Entry Requirements

5 GCSEs including Maths (Grade A) and English

Good Mathematical aptitude

Strong digital enthusiasm

Progression

You will be qualified to progress into a range of roles including becoming a Web Developer, Application Developer, Mobile App Developer, Games Developer, Software Developer.

Software Tester Level 4

This standard will give you a thorough understanding of the software lifecycle and development practices. You will ensure that software operates as intended through designing and preparing test plans and conducting software testing as appropriate.
